MY YOGA THERAPY APPROACH

Yoga Therapy is a holistic, top-down/bottom-up therapeutic modality that seeks to support your journey to cultivating a compassionate connection with your mind and body as it relates to your experiences with chronic stress, trauma, and nervous system (dys)regulation. It is a collaborative approach that integrates the philosophies & practices of yoga with the latest in neuroscience research.

My intention for every session is to create a space where you can safely explore and curiously witness your patterns and adaptations while receiving insights and reflections as well as guidance through inquiries and practices that can lead you to the healing and liberation you need and deserve.

    Our initial sessions are dedicated to assessing your current practices & self-care routines and co-creating a personalized plan to fit your unique needs and goals.

    Everyone has pain points when it comes to their healing journey. I’ll work closely with you to help identify and overcome your triggers.

    Since healing is both a mind-body journey, I’ll be guiding you toward helpful practices and tools such as breathwork (pranayama), movement (asana), and more.

  • A 90-minute intake session that includes a complete history, current lifestyle review, and a comprehensive wellness assessment

  • Ongoing 60-minute, 1-on-1 sessions to support you in your healing journey

  • Personalized yoga practices, therapeutic inquiries, and self-care plan to help you reach your goals

  • Neuroscience-based education & therapeutic interventions to support your understanding of your nervous system and your inner emotional landscape

ABOUT LAURA

Since 2001, I have mentored and guided people of many backgrounds as they discover their inner wisdom and become their most authentic and empowered selves. It has been a joy to be a part of each journey, from helping young college students come into their own to supporting survivors of interpersonal violence as they navigate healing to mentoring students of yoga to establish and cultivate their practice and dedication to a life filled with gratitude, connection, and empowered action.

As a certified yoga therapist & career advocate for trauma survivors, I am committed to helping you discover the beauty and joy of experiencing your full human-ness! Using the practices and philosophies of yoga and aromatherapy combined with therapeutic modalities and coaching techniques from 20+ years of experience, I will work with you to develop a plan complete with tools, practices, and guided inquiries to support you in your journey.
